In the first two pictures you can see how I modified the template.
Second picture shows the blank clamped together.
Third shows duplication.
Fourth, fifth and six shows the modified blank.
One of them shows the bedding of the model 70.
The final 3 show the finished product.
This modification will let a shooter with an extremely short length of pull shoot comfortable. It prevents the shooters head from falling into the gap.

I’ve completed the bedding job on these two rifles for Derek. The F Class stock was modified by McMillan to shoot F/TR. The F/TR stock was modified with a monorail by McMillan. I did minor modifications to the two stocks for proper fit and so that they would look similar. On the F/TR stock I modified it to have a vertically adjustable cheekpiece by putting a thumbscrew in. This latest F/TR stock from McMillan was extremely straight, precise and a pleasure to work with.
This is a Clifford Pierson left handed small bore rifle built in the late 1950’s.
He set National Records with this rifle. And excellent piece of Americana.
Clifford Pierson was a very notable smallbore shooter and rifle builder.
Larry Moore shot this rifle.
Scope is include. It is a 2 inch 15x Unertl.
Rifle and scope condition are good to excellent. Contact me for pricing.

This stock had an adjustable cheekpiece with 2 grub screws to hold it in position. I added a thumb screw and a threaded rod so that the cheekpiece could be adjusted without falling to the bottom and losing all adjustment. I also lengthened the 2 pillars. On older fiberglass stocks this is a needed update.

This gallery contains 6 photos.
Congratulations to Trudie Faye for winning the Rocky Mountain Palma match in Raton last week and also to Jim Gaines for winning the Santa Fe trails long range match. They were both shooting Doan Trevor custom rifles.
Bedding and stocking progress

I am duplicating two left-hand prone rifle stocks. One stock is myrtle wood, the other one is a laminate with exhibition grade Koa wood with the inside piece black walnut. These can be used either for prone shooting or 3P, 3 position shooting. The Koa stock is sold, but the myrtle stock will be available for sale.
The Koa stock will be inletted for a Turbo 2 Action.

Krieger barrel 13 twist. Very close to a new barrel. Barely used. Remington long action with sleeve. New Pacific Tool and Gauge bolt and firing pin. Doan Trevor stock with adjustable cheekpiece and buttplate. This is from my personal collection. $1900 plus shipping.
Condition is 97% or better. Barely handled and still retains the original satin finish. 27-3/4″ barrel with modified choke. $600 plus shipping.
Took a break from woodworking to do a bit of metal work. Made 7 pairs of offset scope mounts, these will fit Pickatinny and Weaver. Now available.
This stock was easy to work with. Straight. And very pretty wood. Moved the action back half an inch to give the owner better trigger position. Also reduced the overall length of pull half an inch. Hand filed and fitted the buttplate to the rear of the stock.
Bedding and fitting buttplate. Corrected pistol grip to match H&H pattern. Finished 4-way buttplate. Today, putting on the finishing touches, making action screws and remembering to take final pictures.
Congratulations to Ron for winning the Rocky Mountain State Regional yesterday, using a Doan Trevor built rifle. The original stock was repaired back in 2015. Three weeks ago I re-barreled it with a HART BARREL that Ron had won at the Wildcat Match in March. They made him the barrel and got to me in time to do the work for the Rocky Mountain Match.
Received this piece of outstanding of English Walnut. That wasn’t quite big enough, so I split it down the middle and added a center section. Hand carved it into a Bench Rest stock, because I don’t have a duplicator pattern.
Here’s my current project. I had this stock sent to me. I’m installing an adjustable cheekpiece. Note the gap at the end of the cheekpiece, it’s there so you can adjust for heel-toe, cast off and cast on. Will be making a 4-way adjustable buttplate in the next few days. I have modified the pistol to customer specifications.

I’ve done the sanding, applied the finish and inserted the emblem. Still have a little bit of fine tuning on the stock. Next step barreling and adding the action.

Hey Y’all!
Just a reminder that there’s only 2 days and 22 hours left on some pretty swell rifles.
If you have any questions, ask away.
