DOAN’S WORKSHOP
The Brown & Sharpe Milling Machine, the Pratt and Whitney # 12B Lathe, and the Brown & Sharpe #2 Surface Grinder were formerly owned by George Mitchell used by him to develop the Mitchell movie camera. The lathe was built around 1935 and was not sold until after WWII. The milling machine has a serial number of 99, but I have no idea how old it is. I’ve been told that when machines have the serial number of 99 that they may be a prototype, but I don’t know if this is true or not. All of the attachments that came with the milling machine are intact.
