Rejuvenating & Upcycling an International Stock with a Witchita Action

When these stocks hit the market in the 70’s they were much like platform shoes. All form and no function. Also, like platform shoes, they were tippy.

I did a little redesigning to make it more functionable. I took the fish belly off the bottom of forend and redid the the bottom of the pillars. Because the pistol grips on these stocks were relatively small, I bonded 3 pieces of wood to the bottom. The customer saw a cheek piece set-up from a few posts ago and requested that I duplicate for this stock. I, also, rebarreled this rifle.

All in All, I took this rifle from 1975 to 2018.
