    Rick / Doan do you know what species of spruce was used? I’d first go with Sitka but blanks suitably sized for a solid stock might be really difficult to find these days. Laminating would work with thinner stock, still dear but more commonly used for boat spars. I’ve also wondered about using redwood though maybe not too PC….
