Prototype F-TR

This is a piece of spruce that I cut on my sawmill on Mosquito Island off the coast of Maine back in the 1980’s.  At the time time I didn’t realize how strong and light the wood was, and it turns out to be instrument grade spruce.  My goal is to make a stock for F-TR class that is 4 lbs. or less while still having both an adjustable cheekpiece and adjustable buttplate and rail.  The Spruce Goose really did fly.
