This project is a real challenge, as the stock comes already finished.  I have tried to keep it as original as possible with no markings. This is not a stainless steel action, but a Barnard action that I am using for markup.  It is an unfinished, demised action.

This is the start of bedding and installing pistol grip.

Note that there are three action screws on the stock for the Barnard action. This is the butt plate installed with the offset plate and it only adds 1/4 inch and the whole assembly is only 7 ounces.

Usually the buttplates I make are 3 way adjustable.  By adding another layer, I can make them adjustable for an offset buttplate.
