Hello. What you’ve got here is a really rare machine. There were two generations of Omniversal Milling Machines made from 1935 to around 1955. The earlier generations relied on pto shafts and gear boxes to transmit power to the knee. Second generation machines have a dedicated DC feed motor mounted to the left side of the knee slide assembly. All together, there were only 350 – 400 of the machines made. My 1953 model sold for 24k when new (ouch). If you’re interested, feel free to join the Yahoo Omniversal group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bsomniversal . I started it shortly after acquiring my machine in November of 2007. Good luck with your move! Joel Hidlebaugh – Warsaw, In
