Rifle Stock Duplicating

Nice. I keep thinking about either building or buying a duplicator(oh how I wish I had the scratch for Hoenig & Rodman). Maybe you can answer a question I’ve been wanting to know the answer to for awhile – how are the action screw holes drilled? Most are around .312 or so, an close to inch deep on a typical bolt action stock. How do you put them in – in the duplicator, or is it done in a Bridgeport?
Wow, I had no idea that such a large machine was required for gunstock duplication. This is something I have been interested in for a while now, but I don’t think it is a job I can do on my own. It looks like there are two rifle stocks in your machinery in these pictures. Can you build two at once, or is that how the duplication works?
Yes, this one is a large machine. It takes up half of a one car garage. There are smaller machines available. I am able to duplicate two stock at once. If I do two at once there is less kickback from the machine.
